SeaPerch
Cathedral Catholic is fortunate to host the San Diego Regional Sea Perch Competition--an underwater based robotics competition! Teams of Middle and High Schoolers from all over San Diego came to compete for the best times and to gather as many points as possible in 2 challenging underwater ROV courses.
Cathedral Catholic's campus and pool were perfect for the event and Pacific Steel was glad to host and volunteer as coordinators and judges. We are so lucky to have been able to take part in this event and are glad to say that we will be hosting next year.
Battle at the Border
Battle at the Border is an off-season FRC event, which gathers teams from around San Diego and beyond. Teams are invited to compete with their original or newly built robots in one last competition, which is hosted in Cathedral Catholic's gym and themed on the previous FRC season. The same rules, regulations, apply as during the season, and everyone has a fun time battling it out before the start of the new season in January.

Trunk or Treat
Every October, Cathedral hosts a small fair for elementary and middle school students to come together as a community and celebrate the Halloween spirit. All clubs and teams from Cathedral set up themed trunks in the parking lot and kids participate in games and activities to get candy.
The Pacific Steel Robotics is happy to participate every year, coming up with new ways to both introduce kids to STEM and have fun.
School
Rallies
Multiple times during the year, all students gather to watch and have fun during Cathedral's spirit rallies, which have fun games to spectate and showcase the sports from that season. Our robotics team regularly makes appearances and shows off our robots and their features, which is always a big hit with the crowd.
